Tabuk City, Kalinga – Fifty students of Bangad National High School in Tinglayan will be representing Kalinga in a vibrant display of local culture and traditions through the Cordillera Festival of Festivals which shall happen on October 18 at Malcolm Square, Baguio City.

The group shall be performing a cultural presentation featuring the Bodong Festival, which made a mark in 2023 being recognized by the Guinness World Records for having the greatest number of gong players and banga dancers.

What made the group become the province’s representative on said regional event is their remarkable traditional performance in the Bodong Street Dance Competition 2024 held during Kalinga's 29th Founding Anniversary and 5th Bodong Festival last February.

The group will be accompanied by some teachers, a nurse and tourism officers from the local government of Tinglayan and the Provincial Tourism Office.

The Department of Tourism – Cordillera also provided the group P80,000 for their meals and accommodation while at the summer capital. LGU Tinglayan likewise provided the group financial support.

As for the provincial government, they are in charge of transporting the participants to Baguio City.
