Dolores, Abra – A shooting incident in Dolores, Abra that happened at around 7 PM on Friday, April 29, 2022 at Sitio Abagatan, Barangay Cardona, Dolores resulted in the death of a Barangay Kagawad and his companion. This was two days after a shooting incident was reported in Bangued, Abra where a Punong Barangay was also killed.
Authorities identified the latest victims as Barangay Kagawad Fermin Pilor Jr., 65, and Rumualdo Amano, of legal age, both residing in Barangay Poblacion, Dolores.
The Dolores Municipal Police Station reported that after receiving a call from Barangay Captain Joel Palma regarding a shootout, authorities immediately responded to the incident.
Initial investigation revealed that the victims were having dinner along with Nelly Pilor, the wife of Fermin and Pilor Jr.’s son George Pilor, outside their house when the shooting transpired.
The two victims died on the spot, while the barangay official’s son and wife were unharmed.
Police are now conducting investigation to establish the motive behind the killing and to unmask the suspects.
