Board Exam for teachers and engineers in Baguio to push through


Baguio City, Philippines – Baguio, as one of the testing centers of the September 2021 Professional Teachers Licensure Examination (LET) and the Agricultural and Biosystems Engineers Licensure Examination, announced that both examinations shall be conducted on a scheduled date despite the City's heightened General Community Quarantine restriction status.


Mayor Benjamin Magalong, through the Public Information Office of Baguio, said that the scheduled exams should continue, otherwise it will have a huge impact on the career of the examinees, so they have to be considerate about it.


Baguio LET exam is scheduled for September 26, while the Agricultural and Biosystems Engineers Licensure exam is set to be conducted on September 29.


In a press release, examinees were mandated to accomplish the entry record sent to their email addresses or posted at the Professional Regulations Commission (PRC) CAR - Baguio City for monitoring and contact tracing purposes.

For non-residents of BLISTT areas


Exam takers who are non-residents of Baguio, La Trinidad, Itogon, Sablan, Tuba and Tublay (BLISTT) areas are reminded to strictly follow the latest entry protocols of Baguio City.


These to include the presentation of QR Code issued through a duly registered Health Declaration Form at https://hdf.baguio.gov.ph/, COVID-19 domestic Vaccination Card issued by a legitimate vaccinating establishment or Certificate of Quarantine Completion showing the holder’s vaccination status as issued by the Bureau of Quarantine, and Notice of Admission (NOA) or Room Assignment as proof of indispensable transaction for fully vaccinated individuals.


For those who are not fully vaccinated, they are required to show same requirements except for vaccination card but should show their negative results of Antigen or RT-PCR test conducted within 72 hours prior to entry into Baguio.


“In the absence of negative test results, the traveler shall submit himself/herself for testing at the Baguio City Central Triage Unit,” the report said.


What to bring to the testing area?


At the testing venue, examinees are told to bring their NOA, ball pens and pencils, negative result of the RT-PCR test taken within September 21 to 25 or a certificate of quarantine for 14 days that ended within September 21 to 25, Informed Consent Form and Health Declaration Checklist, N95 or KN95 face mask and face shield to be worn at all times, 70% ethyl alcohol for regular hand disinfection, and pre-packed meal/snacks and drinks.


14 days after the examination or on October 11, 2021, examinees are required to Post Examination Health Surveillance Form (Annex C of Memorandum Order No. 68) to car.examination@prc.gov.ph.


What to do if failed to take the September 2021 exams for some reasons?


For those who failed to take the September 2021 LEPT exam, they shall be allowed to take the January 2022 LEPT if their reasons include health-related reasons, travel restriction-related reasons, or any valid reason.


For health reasons, they just have to submit a letter to the Commission and the Board together with a notarized medical certificate while examinees who have not taken the exam because of travel restrictions, they are instructed to submit a letter with attached official letter or restriction from the LGU concerned.


For any reason other than the two mentioned, examinee must submit a letter to the Commission clearly stating the reasons for their failure to take their exams.


“The written request shall be submitted through car.examination@prc.gov.ph or car@prc.gov.ph. Said examinees are advised to keep their Notice of Admission for use during the next examination” PRC said.


Meantime, exam takers are reminded to follow minimum public health standards such as wearing of face mask and face shield, disinfection and social distancing - before and during the exams, and that they should go straight home after the exams.
