Bulanao Public Market closes on Sunday for disinfection


Tabuk City, Kalinga-The Bulanao Public Market will be temporarily closed on Sunday, April 18, 2021, to give way for the disinfection after Bulanao Centro records 28 positive cases of COVID-19 as of today.


Bulanao Public Market Administrator May Bollecer said the city mayor ordered the disinfection following the advice of Department of Interior and Local Government Provincial Director Max Meyer Adong.

She then reminded the public to adhere to the following market schedules: Monday and Thursday for Purok 1 and 5, Tuesday and Friday for Purok 4 and 7, and Wednesday and Saturday for Purok 6.


Bulanao Centro will strictly implement the observance of wearing face mask and face shield. Residents of other barangays coming to Bulanao Centro, she said, are required to secure certifications from their respective barangay offices.


Transportation will follow a number coding scheme which is: 0-4 during Monday, Wednesday and Friday and 5-9 during Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.


The regular operation at the public market will resume on Monday, April 19, 2021.
