Tuguegarao City, Cagayan – A house owner in Tuguegarao City is offering a cash incentive to anyone who can identify the burglar who stole at least ₱1 million worth of valuables from their home on February 11, 2026.

The incident occurred shortly after 1:00 a.m. at a house on Bangayan Street, Gosi Norte, Tuguegarao City. The suspect reportedly took jewelry and other expensive items stored in a vault, totaling around ₱1 million.

According to police accounts cited by the Cagayan Provincial Information Office, the victim was awakened in the early hours of Wednesday by rustling sounds and the non-stop barking of the dogs in the area.

She said she noticed a stranger with his head covered in red fabric entering through her window. Fearful that he might be armed, she remained still and waited for him to leave the room.

Once the suspect left, the victim alerted her father. They attempted to chase the burglar, but he had already fled the area, taking the vault with him.

As police continue to investigate, the victim is offering ₱30,000 to anyone who can provide information leading to the arrest of the suspect, who remains at large as of this writing.

Since January 2026, the Tuguegarao City police have documented five theft cases and one robbery in the city.
