Tabuk City, Kalinga – Congressman Allen Jesse Mangaoang underscored that sacrificing some of the freedom had become a duty and not a threat since it is now considered as a responsibility of everyone to follow protocol in the fight against the current CoViD-19 pandemic.

In a message during the 123rd Philippine Independence Day observation held at the City Hall Compound today, June 12, he explained that the limitations set by the government on where to travel, what to wear for protection, or how to celebrate special occasions are insurance for every family and communities to be safe from COVID-19.

Engr. Samuel Bayangan of the Office of the Congressman represented the solon during the event.

In his discourse, Mangaoang said that there is a need to sacrifice certain freedom, and people should not be taking this as a threat, but instead consider this as a responsibility being citizens of this province.

“We really have challenging times and we cannot really ignore the fact that the lives of others depends so much on how we go on with our daily life in lieu of minimum public health protocols,” he said.

“The end of this chapter in the history is not far away as we have already started vaccinating our citizens. What is left of this nation and for this province to pursue after the pandemic is peace progress and freedom that reigns in the hearts of the people,” Mangaoang added.

The solon also honored those who laid their lives in the outer freedom giving emphasis on why the people must show outmost respect to the country’s national symbols since these represent the principles from which republic was founded.

“We are here to express our support to the government and to the constitution of Philippines from all threats, foreign and domestic,” Congressman Mangaoang , representative of the Lone District of Kalinga expressed.
