Cops found P3.02M harvested marijuana while searching for plantation sites

Tinglayan, Kalinga – Authorities have recently discovered bulks of harvested marijuana dried leaves and seeds in Sitio Balay, Barangay Tulgao West in this town on April 8 this year.


Kalinga Police Provincial Office reported that the operatives composing of the Philippine National Police and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency were trying to locate marijuana plantation sites when they came upon said harvest along the way.


The alleged dried marijuana leaves discovered is estimated to be more or less 25,000 grams with a dangerous drug board (DDB) value of P3 million, while the marijuana seeds which is about 1,000 grams is estimated to have a DDB value of P25,000.



Operatives reported that the harvests were burned on site.


Meanwhile, another P2,160,000 worth of marijuana plants was also eradicated in Barangay Lacnog on April 7, where about 10,800 fully grown marijuana plants were destroyed from three plantation sites.


No cultivators were arrested during these two anti illegal drugs operations.
