Cordillera police donate P4.5M from their salary to Typhoon Odette victims

La Trinidad, Benguet – After sending half a million pesos worth of relief goods to Super Typhoon Odette victims this December 21, Cordilleran police have pitched in again, raising P4.5 million pesos for financial aid.


The said amount was collected after all Cordilleran police donated a part of their salary for the cause.


According to the Philippine National Police Cordillera, all PROCOR police voluntarily shared P500 each while the non-uniformed personnel gave P100 each this December 26.


The amount will officially be turned over to the victims of the typhoon as another round of assistance to help them recover.


Meantime, consolidation of donations from the different police provincial offices and city police offices in the region are still ongoing.

Damages brought by Typhoon Odette


As of December 24, the estimated damage to agriculture and infrastructure to areas hit by Odette has risen to P6,030,055,686.12.


Of the said number, ₱2,030,803,044.17 are damages to agriculture in Calabarzon, Mimaropa, the Bicol Region, Central Luzon, Eastern Visayas, Northern Mindanao, Davao Region and Caraga.


As for the ₱3,999,252,642.04, they are damages to infrastructure in Mimaropa, Central Luzon, Eastern Visayas, Northern Mindanao, Soccsksargen, and Caraga.
