Pasil youth org raises fund for 3 cancer and 3 dialysis patients

Pasil, Kalinga – The Youth Volunteers Organization in the Municipality of Pasil led by Municipal Coordinator Chan Keight Patongao raised funds from the “Fun Run for a Cause” held on December 19, 2021, to help six chosen beneficiaries suffering from severe illness.

The activity was initially scheduled on December 18 but was moved the next day due to the inclement weather. The fun run followed the route from Cagaluan - Acacia Gym - Putao Waiting Shed - Pingaw - Bangyan - DENR - Lutot - Bockiao - Cagaluan Acacia Gym.

Municipal Secretary Aiza Patongao, in an interview, disclosed that 53 individuals attended the event which required a P150 registration fee. Other interested people who were not able to make it to the activity still made the payment as their way of extending assistance to the beneficiaries.

According to Patongao, as of today, December 27, 2021, the group holds a total of P23,820, which will be equally divided among the six recipients.
