Cordilleran Stephen "The Sniper" Loman knocks out No. 3 bantamweight Russian fighter

Baguio City, Philippines – As expected, Stephen "The Sniper" Loman of Team Lakay knocked out No. 3 bantamweight fighter from Russia, Yusup “Maestro” Saadulaev on his promotional debut in ONE: Winter Warriors 2 held on December 17 at the Singapore Indoor Stadium.


The Brave Combat Federation (CF) Champion, in a statement released through Mt. Province Broadcasting Corporation – MPBC, anticipated winning via knockout as he was confident with his thorough preparation.


Loman finished his fight against Saadulaev as he landed an overhand, knocking out “Maestro” in the first round.


In a video clip posted by ONE Championship on Twitter, the Russian fighter can be seen trying to get to his feet but lost control, falling back anew.

Loman who traces his roots from Bauko and Barlig, Mt. Province and Banaue, Ifugao said “right now I’m very happy because I knocked out the No.3 contender Yusup and I prepared a lot for this fight together with my teammates, I did my best, and it paid off.”


Meanwhile, another star of Team Lakay, Jhanlo Mark “The Machine” Sangiao, also won with a submission victory against Paul “The Great King” Lumihi.


Kevin “The Silencer” Belingon and Danny “The King” Kingad, on the other hand, lost in their own fights.


Team Lakay, through their Facebook post, congratulated the mixed martial arts fighters and encouraged Kingad and Belingon to ‘rise back at the right time.’
