‘Covid-vax is everyone’s duty, cooperation the key to faster recovery’ – Kalinga Gov. Tubban

Tabuk City, Kalinga – During the ceremonial launching of vaccination for 5 to 11 years old held this February 19 at the Capitol Park, Governor Ferdinand Tubban emphasized that COVID-19 vaccination is everyone’s duty and the public should cooperate for the province to recover faster.

Tubban stressed that the COVID-19 vaccination among children is essential for community protection, decreasing local transmission, and for the economy’s revival.

“Uray nu nabakunaan dagiti nagannak, teachers, ken dagiti elderly, nu dagiti ubbing ket saan…isu dan tu dagiti carrier a mangisubli-subli lang ti Covid-19 virus…maysa a rason ket mas aktibo ken ad-ado ti oras da nga agdakiwas, pumanagna wennu pumanasyar,” explained the governor.

Tubban also urged the individuals who did not receive their COVID-19 dose to submit themselves for vaccination to protect themselves against the virus and likewise help the government achieve its target.

“There is no better solution available for us to continue our lives with less worry and fear of our safety than getting our Covid-19 vaccination. In order to protect ourselves as well as to revive our economy, we need to help our government. Masapul tayo a mabakuanaan,” he added.

Tubban also recognized the effort and sacrifices of the children’s parents who brought their kids to the vaccination site.

The governor also acknowledged the big role played by the frontliners, health workers, sponsors, private agencies, especially the Provincial Health Officer, Dr. Edward Tandingan, for making the event possible.

“I pray that with our cooperation and unity to fight the virus through the vaccination campaign, Kalinga will shine again. Let us to this for a better today and a brighter tomorrow,” Tubban concluded.
