TUGUEGARAO CITY, Cagayan — The Cagayan State University-Carig Campus (CSU-Carig) ranked No. 3 among the country’s top-performing schools in the 2026 Social Workers Licensure Examination, posting a 98.31% passing rate, according to results released by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) on September 17, 2026.

Of the 59 CSU-Carig examinees, 58 successfully passed the licensure examination.

The result marks an improvement from CSU-Carig’s previous rankings in the 2024 and 2025 examinations, when it placed 10th and 8th, respectively, among the country’s top-performing schools.

In a Facebook post, CSU-Carig credited the achievement to the dedication, resilience and hard work of its students, saying their success reflects their determination to pursue the social work profession.

The university also reminded the new social workers to uphold the profession through service, integrity and compassion.

“This success reflects the dedication, resilience, and hard work of the students… Your achievement is a testament to your hard work and determination. May you continue to uphold the highest ideals of the social work profession through service, integrity, and compassion,” the post read.

A total of 10,991 examinees took the 2026 Social Workers Licensure Examination nationwide. Of these, 8,383 or 76.27% passed and are expected to take their oath as professional social workers.
