Don't miss DTI Diskwento in Tabuk City, activity runs until Oct. 29

Tabuk City, Kalinga – Discounted goods and commodities are currently being displayed at the sidewalk in front of the Tabuk City National High School until October 29 to provide cheaper alternatives to consumers.


This activity is part of the two-day Diskwento Caravan of the Department of Trade and Industry – Kalinga in celebration of the Consumer Welfare month this October.


During the opening program of the said caravan this October 28, DTI-Kalinga Senior Trade Industry Development Specialist, Maria Cecilia Baral informed there are three firms who participated in the activity and provide goods, basic necessities and prime commodities, and Nestle products.

Meantime, DTI – Kalinga Provincial Director, Renie Ramos explained that the difference between the goods and commodities being displayed in this Diskwento Caravan is it is cheaper as compared to the ones at the stores and market.


“We take advantage, we inform our friends, relatives and kabarangayan nga ada daytoy a Diskwento Caravan tapnu ma-enjoy tayo daytoy it-ited na a benefits na daytoy a Diskwento Caravan, ta kuna tayo amidst pandemic daytoy ti kunan tayo a Covid response iti ahensya tayo,” he said.

Ramos added that this caravan is a way of the agency to help the public, especially those who have lost livelihoods and deeply affected by the limited movement due to the pandemic.


“So diay iof-offer tayo daytoy as one way of tulong ken dagitoy constituents tayo to get the best value of their hard-earned money during this pandemic ta ammu tayo metten narigat ti pagsapulan tatta, pag-income an,” he said.


The provincial director expressed hope that there is going to be another Diskwento Caravan in the coming months.
