DOST-KALINGA showcases YKalingas awards and products in National Science and Technology Week

Tabuk City, Kalinga― Department of Science and Technology-Cordillera Administrative Region (DOST-CAR) celebrates National Science and Technology Week (NSTW) promoting and showcasing DOST programs and services this November 23-29.


In an interview with DOST Kalinga Provincial Director Jasmin Donaal, she shared that Cordillerans shall look forward on the different activities featuring the products and awards of the YKalingas.


“Dagidiay ifeature tayo diay agar aramid ti reusable woven face mask dagidiay ngay tinulungan ti DOST idiay programa nga Small Enterprise Technology Upgrading Program (SETUP) partner ti one store hub tayo ditoy Kalinga, ken awarding,” she said.


The awarding includes the Provincial Best SETUP adaptor, Mt. Zion Bakery and Regional Best Community Empowerment through S&T awardee, CEST Balbalan.


Also, featuring those MSMEs producing reusable face masks under the Kabuhayan theme, Kinwa Etnika as partner in OneSTore hub and DOST SETUPreneurs, Nessaj's Handicrafts & Pasalubong Center, Taitana's Dress Shop and Kalinga Woven Products, and Balik-Tribo Handicrafts and Fashion Accessories.


With the theme “Agham at Teknolohiya: Sandigan ng Kalusugan, Kabuhayan, Kaayusan, at Kinabukasan”, activities will be done thru the conduct of webinars, S&T Virtual exhibits, other virtual activities intended for Research and Development Institution (RDIs), Local Government Units (LGUs), micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), students, health and nutrition personnel, Disaster Risk and Reduction Management (DRRM) workers and other science enthusiasts.
