Tanudan, Kalinga – The community in Sitio Darulog, Dupligan will no longer have to walk far to fetch water with the construction and completion of a deep well water works system in their area this September 2021.

According to Executive Assistant of Mayor Jaedicke Rhoss Dagadag, John Ryan Awingan, the construction of the water works system was given funding since it is one of the most needed projects in Sitio Darulog.

He recalled that the people in the area have to walk to an outlying area just to access water.

“Idi gamin awan pay dayta a naaramid ket nagadayu ti pagsakduwan da. Pasang-at ken pababa ken haan a safe diay dati a pagsaksakduwan da,” Awingan said.

Through the 2021 development fund of the Municipal Local Government Unit of Tanudan, the project was given P350,000 funding. The construction commenced in August and was completed recently.

Mayor Dagadag expressed that though the local government has limited funds, what matters is that it is all being utilized to address the needs of the people.
