Tabuk City, Kalinga-The bereaved families of the tragic accident that claimed 13 lives in Bulo received P20,000 cash assistance each aside from grocery items, family food packs, and hygiene kits from the Office of the President on April 23, 2021.
Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Assistant Secretary Victor Neri personally brought the assistance to the families at Purok 1, Bulanao, accompanied by Provincial Governor Engr. Ferdinand B. Tubban, NBI-CAVRO Regional Director Atty. Gelacio Bongngat, DSWD Kalinga Field Office, and the Provincial Social Welfare Development Office.
Also, the DSWD Kalinga Field Office also gave P10,000 cash assistance and handled each funeral fees amounting to P25,000.
Said office will also be extending counseling to grieving family members.
"Agyaman kami kadagituy simmangbay nga immay nakipagladingit. Ti presensiya ti maysa kin maysa ket dakkel a banag a nakatulong a nangbang-ar iti rikna mi itatta a panawen," one of the family members said.
