Fearless Highlanders clinch 17 gold medals in 2023 Palarong Pambansa

Baguio City, Philippines – Cordilleran players, known as “Fearless Highlanders”, captured 17 gold medals in the Palarong Pambansa 2023 held in Marikina City from July 31 to August 05.

The region ranks 9th, defeating eight other regions in the country, said the Department of Education – Cordillera as it shared the partial and official medal tally.

Twelve of the gold medals were snatched by athletes in the secondary level, while the other five medals were grabbed by contenders from the elementary.

In addition to the gold medals, Fearless Highlanders bagged 17 silver, and 14 bronze medals in this year’s sporting tiff.

Delegates from National Capital Region (NCR) and Western Visayas are among the top performers in the event with 85 and 60 gold medals, respectively.
