Tabuk City, Kalinga – Governor Ferdinand Tubban is confident that the recently inaugurated Command and Monitoring Center in the city will pave way to a more peaceful and orderly Tabuk and Kalinga.

Today, May 31, the Command and Monitoring Center of Tabuk City is temporarily located at the Youth HUB Building. Said center will monitor incidents such as crimes, disasters, traffic accidents among others in the city through high definition CCTVs installed along the streets. The data captured will be forwarded to the ground or to the agency concerned.

For instance, if there are crimes caught in the system, they will coordinate to the Philippine National Police and if there are traffic accidents, they will coordinate to the PNP and to the City Disaster Risk Reduction Management Council.

“With this command and monitoring center, mamati ak, sumay-sayaat tun iti ili tayo karkaru tu metten iti panangiwanwan tayo iti peace and order,” Tubban said in his message, noting that it was harder to solve crimes in Kalinga with people refusing to testify and would rather not talk.

Great help for law enforcement officers

Tubban likewise said that the Command and Monitoring Center will help the Philippine National Police in the performance of their duties and functions.

“They will be aided with the conduct of crime investigation and resolution,” he said, relating that the system was installed with software that could detect and follow the face of an individual who have broken the law.

“This will also help our Public Order and Safety Office personnel, dakkel la unay iti tulong na ta diay garud kuna ni Nats ket from the data, am-amin ditoy mai-communicate idiay ground nu adda naaramid a krimen,” he added.

Cooperation of the public needed

The governor also appealed for the public’s cooperation and help in taking good care of the installed CCTVs and equipment along the streets in the city.

“Ket dawatek ngarud a iti kooperasyon met laeng iti tunggal maysa nga aywanan tayo. Datayo kuma iti mismo ti mangkita tapnu iti kasta ket dagiti equipments tayo nga adda dita daldalan ket maaywanan,” he said.

Meanwhile, Tubban concluded his message by thanking the local government of Quezon City for providing additional fund for the center to be realized. He also expressed his gratitude to the Tabuk City LGU for their concerted efforts, stressing, “this concerted effort could bring this longings into reality.”

“So rest assured that your provincial government will always support any plans and programs that will render goodness and benefits for our people,” he concluded.
