Graduates of 4Ps in Tabuk shall soon benefit from the DSWD’s post-care program

Updated: May 28, 2021

Tabuk City, Kalinga―Members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod of Tabuk has given authority for the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement between the City Government and Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) to provide post-care program to Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipinong Program (4Ps) graduates here.

4Ps is a human development measure of the national government that provides conditional cash grants to the poorest of the poor, to improve the health, nutrition, and the education of children aged 0-18.

The agreement states that the city government and DSWD shall provide continuing support services particularly to 4Ps households who have exited or have graduated from the program.

This is to ensure that these families would still have the necessary support in cases of economic shocks and other vulnerabilities.

Additionally, it shall have clear and targeted programs for the beneficiaries ensuring that their well-being is improved and will not slide back to poverty.

Thus, the city government shall craft the Sustainability Plan for the graduated household, and agreements for the 4Ps beneficiaries with specific programs and services details on the availment of support service or provision of post-care intervention to exited household beneficiaries of the program.

It shall also engage partners and other stakeholders to effectively mobilize the needed resources to sustain the well-being of the exited families.

Furthermore, it shall ensure provision of support packages such as but not limited to livelihood packages or cash incentives to households who voluntarily waived, graduated, and previously exited from the 4Ps.

DSWD will then provide guidance, supervision, and monitoring of the services and tasks rendered by the city.

Last May 4, a total of 68 households became the first batch of graduates from the 4Ps of the CSWD in Tabuk City.
