Pasil, Kalinga - Personnel of Municipal Health Office in Pasil led by Dr. Aldrin Siwao crossed bridges and traversed mountain trails just to bring health services to residents in remote areas.

The office travelled to establish fixed sites in every barangay for residents to have easier access to vaccination, medicines, and other health services.

Said effort of Pasil MHO was recognized by some officials. Provincial Health Officer Dr. Edward Tandingan, for one, lauded Dr. Siwao’s team through his Facebook post.

“KUDOS to Doc Aldrin Siwao and his team, who continue to serve the people of Pasil with vaccination services without letup,” captioned Dr. Tandingan’s post.

In an update shared by PHO, Pasil ranks second with the highest fully vaccinated rate in the province.

As of October 25, 2021, 37.81% or 2,431 of the 6,429 target priority group in the municipality have already been vaccinated.

As the office strives to attain its target, the personnel encouraged the community to participate for their protection, as the fight against the dreaded virus is a joint responsibility of the government and the public.

Municipal Mayor Alfredo Malannag, Jr. joins Pasil MHO in reminding the public to strictly adhere to minimum health protocols such as “physical distancing, wearing facemasks, keeping rooms well ventilated, and regular hand washing.”

Observing the protocols, he said, ‘is not only to protect one’s self but also other people, especially your family.’
