Heckler at Baguio Public Market denies interacting with VP’s daughter

Baguio City, Philippines – The reported heckler of Jillian Robredo during her visit at the Baguio City Public Market on Wednesday, April 27, 2022, denied that he shouted at Vice President Leni Robredo’s daughter and that he never interacted with her.

In an uploaded video by Facebook user Cliff Lewis, he said that he never saw the VP’s youngest daughter and he never talked to her in person.

He then explained that the incident started when he requested some of VP Leni’s supporters to let him pass as he was rushing, but instead one of the supporters, he claimed, did not care and instead told him that what is important is his vote for Robredo.

Kayo pala ang diktadurya [diktador],” he narrated.

Lewis relayed that the woman pointed her fingers at him prompting him to tell the woman that he should not be doing that because he is a Baguio local and an ‘Igorot’.

Further, Lewis added that the discussion ended there because he was pacified by police officers.

Meantime, as a response in said incident, Mayor Benjamin Magalong issued an apology emphasizing that the physical outburst by the person involved in the incident is not a representative of the city’s legendary hospitable conduct.
