Baguio City, Philippines – An alleged leader of a gun-for-hire group listed as a National Most Wanted Criminal by the Department of Interior and Local Government was arrested Wednesday, July 5, in Baguio City.
Operatives were informed that alias ‘Joker’, 61, was within the vicinity of Sitio Balacbac, Sto. Tomas Proper, prompting them to proceed to the area.
There, they served five arrest warrants to the suspect.
The accused faces two counts of murder in Pangasinan, three counts of murder in La Union, frustrated murder in Pangasinan, and violation of Comprehensive Law on Firearms and Ammunition or RA10591 in Pangasinan.
It was also disclosed that the suspect was a former member of a criminal group called ‘PONCEJA’ before establishing his own criminal group.
Reward money amounting to P160,000 was likewise offered by DILG for the immediate arrest of ‘Joker’.
He was brought to the CIDG Pangasinan PFU SATT3 office in Urdaneta City, Pangasinan for proper documentation before turn-over to the court.
