Ifugao lady philanthropist is 4th Asia-Pacific Luminare Awardee

Ifugao, Philippines –Irish Saint Salvio, an Igorot businesswoman and philanthropist from Lamut, Ifugao, is one among the awardees of the 4th Asia-Pacific Luminare Awards.


Salvio will be conferred the award “Woman of Influence: Outstanding Business Leader and Philanthropist of the Millennium” on March 31, 2021 at the Grand Ballroom in Okada, Manila.


The Asia-Pacific Luminare Award is given to significant figures in the Asia-Pacific region for their exemplary services in the fields of showbiz and entertainment, politics and government, business, arts, culture, and academe among others. Individuals and companies promoting best practices in the business sector are also recognized.


Showbiz personalities such as Robin Padilla, Nora Aunor, and Boy Abunda, are among the recipients of the 4th Asia-Pacific Luminare Awards.

Highlights of Irish Saint Salvio’s Achievements


Salvio is the founder of Irish Cares Educational Assistance Program and Irish Cares Charity Services.


Growing up in a deprived community, she was inspired to start this program in 2012 driven with the desire to help individuals in the far flung areas.


At present, her project benefitted more than a thousand indigent and deserving learners mostly from Nueva Vizcaya, Kalinga, and Ifugao as well as Baguio City and Manila, who were given financial educational grants, and aids such as smart phones, pocket WiFis, laptops and school supplies.

Additionally, she also sponsored Project Salvio which is providing students’ access to offline video lessons and also sponsored the implementation of Project Reach at a school in Lamut that helped reduce school drop-outs.


Apart from this, Salvio is also known for her outreach activities, such as providing free haircut, school supplies, and grocery items to marginalized sectors. She also finances medical assistance to indigent patients.


Additionally, the 4th Asia-Pacific Luminare awardee is likewise involved in disaster response services. That during the COVID -19 pandemic, she donated relief packs to indigent families and local frontliners and have organized family and friends to join relief operations for typhoon Ulysses victims in Cagayan.

Further, Salvio is also supportive to the government that she helped fund the provision of various development programs and projects implemented in the 14 barangays of Lamut, Ifugao; granted Barangay LGUs request for road opening and improvement projects; and donated various technological tools to government offices and NGOs in support to their administrative task.


These are just a few of the noteworthy projects and the accomplishments of this 4th Asia-Pacific Luminare awardee whose late grandmother and mother were also philanthropists and educators.


Moreover, Salvio is the current President of Schools Division Federated PTA in Ifugao where she donated P106,000 to fund the proposed small projects of different district PTAs, and is also the Assistant General Manager of Jann Norris Construction and Supply.
