Improper wearing of face masks observed in Kalinga

Tabuk City, Kalinga – It has been over a year since people were mandated to follow the minimum health standards which include wearing of face masks to control the spread of the virus. While majority have gotten used to wearing their face masks in the province, one problem observed was the improper way of wearing them, says Kalinga police.

Kalinga Police Provincial Director PCol. Davy Vicente Limmong said that they observed that there are those who wear their masks with only their mouth covered, while some even pull their masks down their chin.

“Narigat latta nga i-impose [proper wearing of face masks] ta uray ditoy centro mismo adda mask da ngem haan da met nga inusar properly,” he said.

“They have mask [but the] problem jay agung da haan met nga natakpan,” he added.

Limmong further said that when people are eating in public, sometimes they tend to not wear their masks again right after finishing their meal.

Meantime, police are still deployed in various places to remind the public on the minimum health protocols, “adda latta dagita kapulisan tayo, continues enforcement and implementation tapnu bagbagaan tayo latta dagita umili.”
