Kalinga elected leaders assume office, vow to uphold public trust and push inclusive development

Tabuk City, Kalinga - Elected leaders of Kalinga officially took their oath of office on June 30 at the Kalinga Sports Center, marking the start of a fresh term anchored on renewed commitment to public service, unity, and inclusive growth. 

 

The oath-taking ceremony brought together families, friends, national line agency heads, and provincial government employees who witnessed the assumption of office of the province’s new set of leaders. 

 

The elected officials took their oath before Judge Randy B. Bulwayan of Regional Trial Court Branch 39.

 

Re-elected Governor James S. Edduba of Lakas-CMD took his oath with a promise to continue to serve iKalingas with transparency, compassion, and decisive leadership. 

 

Joining him is Vice Governor Atty. Dave Q. Odiem of the Partido Federal ng Pilipinas (PFP), who vowed to steer the Sangguniang Panlalawigan towards more responsive and people-centered legislations.

 

Congresswoman Dr. Caroline B. Agyao, also from PFP, made history as the first woman elected to represent Kalinga’s lone congressional district. Agyao promised to bring the voice of the people to the national stage. 

 

Members of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan likewise took their oath with a united pledge to advance policies that promote progress, cultural integrity, and community empowerment. 

 

District 1 SP members are Hon. Roger Sagaoc, Hon. Romeo Saclag, Hon. Harley Duguiang, and Hon. Emilio Kitongan. For District 2, they are Hon. Camilo Lammawin Jr., Hon. Glenn Amla, Hon. Chester Alunday, Atty. Chris Donaal, Hon. Alfredo Dangani and Hon. Bernard Glenn Dao-as. 

 

The newly sworn-in provincial officials  carry with them not just the authority of their mandates but also the hopes and expectations of the people.
