Kalinga police welcomes new police provincial director

Tabuk City, Kalinga – The Kalinga police force will now be led by a new Kalinga Police Provincial Director after Police Colonel Davy Vicente Limmong turned over the command to Police Colonel Peter Tagtag Jr. this January 14 at Camp Captain Juan M Duyan.

The turn-over of command ceremony was facilitated by Cordillera Police Regional Director, Police Brigadier General Ronald Lee.

In his message, Lee explained that Limmong has done nothing wrong, clarifying that he was relieved from being the provincial director of Kalinga Police Provincial Office(KPPO) on January 8 in compliance to a mandate of the Philippine National Police to reshuffle or replace provincial directors who are already more than one year in command during the election period.

“This is the command policy of the PNP that during the election period, those [who are] more than one year ay kailangan i-reshuffle or palitan,” he explained.

Lee has commended the remarkable leadership of Limmong for the past 1 year and 8 months and that he is confident that the newly installed Kalinga Police Provincial Director, PCOL Tagtag, will continue to build on the achievements made by Limmong and his predecessors.

Meanwhile, the Cordillera top cop also expects the KPPO personnel to give the same support to Tagtag the way they did to Limmong.

“I can assure you that you have a great leader who is approachable, capable, and humble,” he said, as he enjoins them to work together in the service of the PNP organization.
