Kalinga to hold celebration for Provincial Women’s Month

Tabuk City, Kalinga – Recognizing the contributions of women to the society, the Province of Kalinga headed by Governor Ferdinand Tubban is set to hold Kalipunan ng Liping Pilipina (KALIPI) Provincial Women’s Month Celebration tomorrow, March 8, 2022.

According to the program of activities, the event will be graced by the Regional Director of Commission on Human Rights – Cordillera, Atty. Romel Daguimal; Focal Person on Women Welfare Program, Atty. Mabelyn A. Palukpok; and CHR-Cordillera Information Officer II, Charmaine Joy Batong-Ambros.


The celebration will likewise be joined by Governor Tubban and her better half, Dr. Ana Lua Tubban, who is a Women’s Right Advocate along with KALIPI Provincial Federation President, Jocelyn Pardito, and DILG-Klinga Director, Engr. Max Mayer Adong.

Salient features of Republic Act 9262 or Violence against Women and their Children (VAWC), Human Rights Concepts and principles, and Women as advocate in promoting a VAW-free home are expected to be discussed in the said event.


KALIPI members from the different municipalities and the city will be rendering presentations and performances in the whole day program.

Earlier, Tubban recognized the indispensable roles of women, especially those in the province, describing them as instruments of peace and love.
