“Karbengan para pagsayaatan ti intero a Kalinga ti maipatungpal”-Gov Tubban


Tabuk City, Kalinga-While Provincial Governor Ferdinand B. Tubban expressed support to various programs protecting the rights of indigenous cultural communities, preserving and developing cultures and traditions, he challenged the Indigenous People Mandatory Representatives (IPMR) in the province to reflect on their tasks to ensure that their work would be for the welfare of cultural communities.


“Anya ngata dagiti nagapwanan tayo met, are we proud nga intunu ag-end ti term tayo, ket adda met iti nagapwanan tayo,” the Governor stressed during the General Assembly of Kalinga Indigenous Peoples Legislators Organization this July 12.

Tubban advised IPMRs to check what have yet to accomplish so that the succeeding representatives could execute their plans.


“Itatta apan tayo kitan nu anya ti nagapwanan tayo ta nu anya dagiay nagkurkurangan tayo, at least dagiay sumarsarunu wennu dagiay maudi pay ti panaka-sukat da, maaramid dan,” he said.


The governor recommended the improvement and implementation of plans, addressing the common interest of the public.

“Papintasen tayo nga papintasen nu anya man dagiti mabalin a pag-nunumwan ti tunggal maysa ket isu ah kuma iti basic a tuladen tayo nu adda dagiti kuna tayo nga karebrebengan wennu rights nga apan tayo ipatungpal,” Tubban proposed.


Tubban thanked and congratulated Provincial IPMR Hon. Michael Sugguiyao for initiating and facilitating the General Assembly, such that concerns were raised and discussed.


Said event was graced by Congressman Allen Jesse Mangaoang and Vice Governor Dave Odiem.
