KSU among world top universities in 2025 Times Higher Education Impact Rankings

Tabuk City, Kalinga – Kalinga State University (KSU) has made its debut in the 2025 Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Rankings, placing in the 801–1000 bracket among 2,500 top universities around the globe.

 

The ranking, as cited by THE, measures university performance against the United Nations’ 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). THE is a trade built on 10 million data points from over 7,000 institutions in 171 countries with an aim to be the definitive source of data, insight and expertise on higher education worldwide.

 

For its 2025 edition, 2,540 universities from 130 countries and territories submitted data. Of the total number, 121 institutions are from the Philippines – 10 of them are universities hailing from the Cordillera Administrative Region.

 

These ten institutions include Ifugao State University and Saint Louis University ranking in the 601-800 brackets; KSU along with Benguet State University (BSU) and Mountain Province State University (MPSU) ranked in the 801-1000 bracket, among others.

 

Other institutions who secured place include Cordillera Career Development College and University of the Cordilleras (1001-1500); Apayao State College, King’s College of the Philippines and University of Baguio (1501+).

 

In 2024, 56 universities from the Philippines were recognized among 2,152 across 125 countries—twice the number that participated this year. Of the total number, 7 institutions are from the CAR.
