Lubuagan Mayor Charisma Dickpus expresses support to new leadership


Lubuagan, Kalinga - Atty. Charisma Anne Dickpus, outgoing Mayor of Lubuagan said she shall support the new leadership come June 30 when the mayoral seat shall be turned over to the 2022 election winner candidate, Mr. Joel Tagaotao.


"Suportaran tayo latta iti baru a leadership ta dapat met a kasdiay tayo a kas citizen," Dickpus said.


Dickpus who run as mayor for her second term lost by 104 votes during the elections with 4,447 while Tagaotao got 4,551.


In a statement, Dickpus encourages the yLubuagen to support and be united with the new elected officials.

"Mamatiak a ni Apo Diyos ti nangiturong daytoy. God has better plans for us, adda met siguro iti napinpintas a plano na, para iti ili," she said.


She at the same time congratulated all the winning candidates of the recently conducted elections.


"Congratulations met lang iti baru a mayor tayo, ni Mr. Joel Tagaotao ken kadagiti nangabak nga opisyal. I trust a maituloy dagiti narugyan a plano tayo para iti pagsayaatan ti Lubuagan because we owe the people," she added.


Dickpus then expressed gratitude to those who voted for her and who have continued their support, trust and confidence in her being a government servant. She said that giving help to the people does not end in politics as she and her family shall always be an open door

"Permi ti panagpasalamat ko kadagiti supporters over the years a timmultulong ken namati iti gandat tayo. Thank you kanyada for the support and prayers. Silulukat kami latta para kadagiti kailyan," she said.


Meanwhile, Antonio Saclag Jr. has won the seat for Vice Mayor garnering 5,033 votes while his rival, Riesel Tocyapao got 3,534.


Councilors who won are Agatep Manaltag (5,476 votes), Angelito Anton (5,418), Victor Dickly (5,305), Tommy Pallogan (5,101), Rudy Ocan (5,035), Jan Jericho Odiem (4,951), Wildy Wansi (4,932) and Simi Colayot (4,668).


They were officially proclaimed by the Commission on Elections on Tuesday, May 10, 2022.
