Tabuk City, Kalinga – A man who was alarmed after sensing the presence of police while traveling the national road in Barangay Locog on his motorcycle, tumbled on the road and jumped off the nearest ravine late evening of February 19.

On said date, the police was on their way to Dinakan, Lubuagan to establish a joint check point after they received a tip about alleged marijuana being ferried. However, on their way, a man on his motorcycle lost balance and fell on the ground in Sitio Balani along with a box tied at the back of his motorcycle.

The police immediately stop to help the unidentified man but to their surprise, the latter rushed to the side of the road and jumped off the ravine leaving his motorcycle, the box, and a small sling bag behind.

Through the help of the drug sniffing dog, the police discovered 33 kilograms of suspected dried Marijuana bricks worth P4,257,000 from the said box.

The police searched the area to look for the suspect. Additionally, from his sling bag, several identification cards as well as the OR and CR of the motorcycle were discovered. These only have one name in them, Kennedy Adaoal.

The confiscated pieces of evidence shall be brought to Kalinga Crime Laboratory office for examination.
