Mangali kids get free toys from Mayor Dagadag, Miss Tanudan 2023

Tanudan, Kalinga – Celebrating children’s hard work at school, Mayor Jaedicke Rhoss Dagadag, his team, and Miss Tanudan 2023 gave free toys to kids in Mangali on Saturday, July 15.

More than a hundred pre-schoolers to grade 4 pupils received playthings through the initiative of the mayor, his office, and newly crowned Miss Tanudan Laggunawa Aileen Joy Dalimag.

Alongside the activity was also a feeding program.

As relayed by Jomar Durdal, Executive Assistant to Mayor Dagadag, they requested the toys from McDonalds to reward the children for their diligence in their studies and for finishing another school year.

Mayor Dagadag, in a message, mentioned that giving gifts is a gesture of appreciation and that it is not only for Yuletide season and for birthdays, it is for any time and any season.

He added that kids want toys and at their level, receiving one sparks joy.

“That's the reason why we are doing this gift giving, nga uray simple toys lang maited tayo kanyada kasi ammu tayo nga maysa mang paragsak kanyada ket dagituy ay-ayam,” he said.

He further conveyed that nothing is more satisfying than knowing that the children, the next generation and the next leaders are happy and loved as these motivate them to fulfill their aspirations in life.

Above all, Mayor Dagadag stressed, “We care for every children in Tanudan.”

It could be recalled that the mayor likewise distributed free toys to other yTanudan kids in far-flung areas in January this year.
