More inter-regional bus routes in and out of Baguio City approved

Baguio City, Philippines – The additional operation of bus transports in Baguio City begins after approval of nine additional routes to various parts of the country, according to the LTFRB Memorandum Circular No. 2020-0516 and 2020-0511 released by the Central Office.


The local government of Baguio City, however, set a guideline of a minimum of 8 buses travelling daily.


There are 2 additional routes in which point-to-point movement of buses shall be allowed as approved by in the first Memo of the LTFRB are Baguio-Mariveles, Bataan; Baguio-Olongapo City, Zambales.

Meantime, Memorandum Circular No. 2020-0511 permitted the travel of 5 bus companies for the 7 following routes: Baguio-Avenida, Baguio-Domestic via Expressway Edsa, Baguio-Pasay City, Central Integrated Terminal-Baguio, Baguio-Manila, Baguio-Cubao, and Baguio-Caloocan City.


Earlier bus travels from Baguio to Mt. Province resumed with 11 routes of bus and van operations to and from Baguio after the endorsement of the LTFRB on Dec. 14 the opening of the inter-provincial/ regional routes to and from Baguio City.

In a report of the Philippine News Agency it said 10 routes were approved to and from Baguio and one from the National Capital Region (NCR) to Bontoc, Mountain Province.


As of this writing there has not been any reported endorsement for the movement of buses to and from Baguio and Kalinga.
