New set of Kalinga leaders proclaimed

Tabuk City, Kalinga – The May 2022 poll winners in the province have been officially proclaimed on May 10, as the newly elected Kalinga leaders.


Proclaimed at the Provincial Legislative Building, the new set of officials include incumbent and re-elected Congressman Allen Jesse Mangaoang, Governor-elect James Edduba, and Vice Governor-elect Jocel Baac.


Elected Board Members are Harley Duguiang, Shirlynne Dasayon, Roger Saga-oc, Danzel Michael Langkit, Mark Aldrich Diasen, Lester Lee Tarnate, Glenn Amla, and Antonio Bakilan.


The Provincial Board of Canvassers proclaimed them as duly elected leaders in Kalinga for the next three years.

Congressman Mangaoang, who was represented by Regie Wacas thanked the people of Kalinga for their continuous trust and confidence in him, assuring them that the Kalinga representative at the congress will continue working for the progress of the province.


Likewise, governor-elect Edduba conveyed he will continue the good governance which he had started when he was the vice governor of Kalinga.


“Para iti panagpaituloy iti narugyan idi a good governance ken iti Kalinga Shines, ket awisen mi dakayu ta daytoy kuma iti intayo itul-tuloy ken rugyan tapnu agkakadwa tayo amin tapnu magun-od tayo diay pagsayaatan nga kayat tayo a mapasamak ditoy ili tayo nga ay-ayaten tayo a Probinsiya iti Kalinga,” he said.

Meantime, outgoing governor, Ferdinand Tubban Tubban who lost with 56,019 votes against Edduba’s 60,070 congratulated the latter for being the majority’s choice.


“We Pray that the Lord guide you as you fulfill your purpose as the man to lead our beloved province to the next level,” Tubban said in a statement.
