Newly-elected barangay officials, gov’t employees in Tanudan convene for first time in Kapehan

Tanudan, Kalinga – For them to get to know one another, new set of barangay officials and government employees in Tanudan convened for the first time in a ‘Kapehan’ on December 11, 2023 at Banagao, Poblacion.

Mayor Jaedicke Rhoss Dagadag relayed they decided to hold the said event together with the newly-elected barangay officials so they will be meeting the heads of offices of the Tanudan Local Government Unit and the chiefs of the different government line agencies.

He added these officials need to be introduced to one another as they will be working together in the next two years.

During the event, Dagadag took the chance to remind the new village leaders that their support in the campaign against illegal activities is paramount.

“Habang agrugrugi dagita ammu tayo nga manggulo iti ili tayo, masapul nga ipasardeng,” he said.

He likewise told them to be a role model to their constituents saying, “awan kuma iti barangay officials nga makitkita nga nabartek kada isu iti mangirugrugi iti sugal idiay barangay da ta kababain met nu sika nga barangay official pay iti mangiyun-una iti kaskastoy.”

Other topics discussed during the Kapehan, meantime, was the participation of the municipality in the Kalinga Day celebration in February 2024.
