Of 900 YKalingas taking the entrance exams, who will get into the Philippine Military Academy?

Tabuk City, Kalinga – Nine hundred aspiring Philippine Military Academy cadets ages 17 – 22 will be accommodated for the PMA entrance examination at the Kalinga State University this September 2 - 4, 2021.


The examination shall begin at 8:00 in the morning.


In the courtesy call of the examiners with Congressman Allen Jesse Mangaoang, the team of proctors led by Major Renato Wayagwag informed that more than 1,000 have taken the PMA exam in Kalinga in 2020.


Of this, 16 have successfully made it through the screening, making Kalinga with the highest number of 4th class cadets this June 1.

Governor Ferdinand Tubban in his Facebook post mentioned the golden opportunity to the youth who would like to join the uniformed personnel of the country, encouraging them to do their best.


"Kadagiti agtutubo, daytoy ti opportunidad nga umay kaniayo, good luck kadagiti applikantes para iti Philippine Military Academy," Tubban said.


Advice for walk-in applicants

To walk-in applicants who were not able to submit their documents prior to the examination dates should bring a photocopy of their PSA birth certificate; a photocopy of Form 137/138 or transcript of records; 2x2 ID picture with a white background; valid ID, preferably school ID or driver’s license; and 2 pieces of No. 2 pencils.


Moreover, examinees are mandated to wear their face masks and face shields and must bring their own water and snacks.


Meantime, for admission qualification at PMA, the applicant must be a natural-born Filipino citizen; physically fit and of good moral character; single and has never been married or pregnant, and has no legal obligation to support a child/child; at least a senior high school graduate; must not have an administrative or criminal case; must pass the entrance examination or must at least be 5 feet for both males and females.
