P26M worth of illegal drugs seized in a buy-bust operation

Quezon City, Philippines – The Philippine National Police seized a total of 217 kilograms of Marijuana bricks with dangerous drugs board value of 26 million pesos in the National Capital Region; this is so far the highest recovered illegal drugs in a buy-bust operation according to the PNP.


Based on the PNP’s Facebook post, the buy-bust operation happened along EDSA in Barangay Apolonio Samson, Balintawak, Quezon City morning of November 29. Also, three suspects were arrested during the operation.


The confiscated illegal drugs along with the suspects were brought to PNP Drug Enforcement Group (PDEG) in Camp Crame for documentation and proper disposition.


PGen. Debold Sinas, PNP Chief stated that the operatives will further intensify their campaign against high-value targets.


“We encourage our law-abiding citizens to be vigilant in watching over the 'new normal' operations of illegal drug syndicates as the PNP will further intensify hunting the high-value targets so that we could prevent them from destroying the lives and future of our children,” he stated.


Meantime, just this November 23 and 24, a listed High Value Individual by the Police Regional Office Cordillera and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency – CAR and 2 other drug personalities were arrested in Cordillera in separate operations in Baguio City.


Confiscated from the HVI and his companion is 65 grams of suspected shabu with P442,000 Standard Drug Price, paraphernalia, and guns and ammos. The operatives, on the other hand, recovered from the other newly identified drug personality 4 sachets of suspected shabu worth P6,800.
