Tanudan, Kalinga─Succeeding the exchange of Allasiw/Sipat between the tribes of Dacalan and Pangol, negotiators of this town are set to conduct ocular inspection on the alleged destroyed properties of the involved tribes.

This was discussed during the first meeting with Mayor Jaedicke Rhoss Dagadag and the elders, Pangol tribe members, Dacalan tribe members, legislative officials, and negotiators held on April 24 at Se-et, Mabaca.

Mayor Dagadag expressed his joy over the success of the first meeting which went well and resulted with an initial action to be taken.

Earlier, the mayor initiated the exchange of peace tokens to restore the peace pact between the tribes presented by Pangol sub-tribe Bodong holder Fernando Cosidon and Dacalan sub-tribe Bodong Holder Pio Bagillin Banna.

Said exchange of tokens is traditionally done to sustain the harmonious relationship of two cultural communities.

It can be recalled that Mayor Dagadag said that the root of the long-time issue between the two tribes concerns a land dispute.

With this, negotiators have decided to do ocular inspection to clarify and appease their concerns, until such time the land dispute will then be legally settled in court for proper and appropriate decision.
