Pasil records 752 youth already vaccinated

Pasil, Kalinga – A total of 752 youth under the age bracket of 12 to 17 from the different barangays of Pasil received their first dose of Pfizer vaccine during the vaccination drive conducted on November 19 and 20, 2021, at Cagaluan Elementary School.


This is according to a press release of Pasil Municipal Health Office headed by Dr. Aldrin Siwao.


With the assistance of Mayor Alfredo Malannag Jr. and the Provincial Vaccination Outreach Team (PVOT) led by Dr. Edward Tandingan, Pasil MHO was also able to inoculate 83 first doses of CoronaVac (Sinovac) to adults aging 18 years old and above while some 20 first doses of AstraZeneca were distributed.


The office gave recognition to various individuals and agencies for their contribution to the success of the vaccination drive stating, “jakor on iyaman ji Pasil Municipal Health Office hin manlaplapusanan on suporta yu hi 2 days vaccination.”

The MHO especially mentioned PHO Head Dr. Tandingan, Mayor Malannag, police personnel, barangay officials, barangay health workers of Cagaluan, contact tracers, Cagaluan Elem. School, Dr. Kalire Bawalan, Dr. Karen Agod, and Benny Magangat.


In a shared report of the Provincial Health Office (PHO), the municipality already reached a 42 percent full vaccination rate as of November 21, 2021.


Out of the 7,032 target population, only 2,617 remaining individuals are yet to receive their dose.
