Picnic sites, tourism still closed, violators to get ticket or render community service- PNP

Tabuk City, Kalinga – The Philippine National Police Kalinga is reminding the public that

places of convergence and other picnic sites are still closed while tourism activities are still suspended in the province.


Kalinga Police Provincial Director PCol. Davy Vicente Limmong reiterated this after observing that there are individuals going to picnics and visiting tourism sites around the province.

He said that Kalinga is still under General Community Quarantine which means that gathering, picnics, and tourism activities are still prohibited.


He informed that there are individuals being warned and given citation tickets for violating said directive. Those who cannot pay the corresponding penalty are rendering community services. The corresponding penalty for violators, he noted, depends on the municipal and city ordinance of the respective municipalities and city in the province.



“Remind tayo man dagitoy manen residents tayo ditoy Kalinga nga inggana tatta ket bawal pay lang met iti agkumpol kumpol,” he said.


“GCQ tayo tatta ket makidaw-dawat tayo iti cooperation iti amin nga umili, anusan tayo kuma ta sa pay kuma ta haan agbayag ket ma-control tayo ken maawan kuma daytoy a Covid-19 ta inggana tatta ket tuloy tuloy pay nga adu pay lang iti main-infect kenya tayo,” he added.

Limmong, further said that the police are continuously patrolling around the province and that they are appealing for the barangays to help and coordinate with the police if such violations are observed considering that they are in the frontlines in monitoring the movement of their constituents.
