PNP’s ‘Project Kabadang’ benefits 130 households in Pinukpuk, Kalinga

Ballayangon, Pinukpuk – More or less 130 households in Ballayangon, Pinukpuk benefited from the community outreach program spearheaded by the 1st Kalinga Provincial Mobile Force through its ‘Project Kabadang’ over the weekend.


The program was made possible through the partnership of First KPFMC Mobile Force, Cagayan Valley Region 3 Kalinga Eagles, 50 Infantry Battalion Philippine Army, BFP-Pinukpuk, BJMP-Kalinga, Religious Sectors, PIA-Kalinga, Cordillera Youth Brigade, KKDAT, and Barangay Ballayangon LGU.

During the weekend, the households were provided lectures and school supplies. Apart from these, they joined the tree planting in their area.


Lectures were in line with Fire Safety Awareness, Anti-Insurgency, the Role of Youth in Nation Building, Programs for the Welfare of Persons Deprive of Liberty and Anti-Criminality Campaign and Crime Prevention Tips.


These were provided by various agencies that took part in the program.


Supplies given to the households


177 sets of school supplies, along with 50 pairs of slippers that came from the pockets of the Cagayan Valley Region 3 Kalinga Eagles, were distributed to elementary pupils. Additionally, some 120 food packs were given to the community.


The initiative is a part of the "Whole of Nation Approach" to win over communities and gain their support for the government's campaign against Communist Terrorist Groups.

In a statement, Barangay Captain Marilyn Wansi expressed gratitude to the initiators of the activity for choosing their barangay as one of the recipients of “Project Kabadang”.


She also committed her support to programs of the PNP, particularly those that will help maintain peace and order in the province.

What is Project Kabadang?


Project Kabadang or Kalinga At Pagmamahal sa Kabataan Biyayang Alay ng Kapulisan tungo sa Dakilang Adhikaing kapayapaan na Ninanais ng mamamayan at Gobyerno was launched by the First KPFMC in 2021.


According to the unit, Project Kabadang is their best practice formerly known as "Blessings Ko, Share Ko" wherein 1st KPMFC together with their Company Advisory Council (CAC) members raise funds from their voluntary contributions and donations which they use in extending assistance to a person, family, or a community.
