Police who killed mother and son surrendered

Tarlac, Philippines – Suspect behind the shooting of the Gregorio mother and son in Tarlac surrendered himself at Rosales Municipal Police Station in Pangasinan, an hour after the killing this December 20.


According to report, the Chief of police of Rosales MPS called the Paniqui MPS to inform them that the suspect indentified as PSMS Jonel Nuezca y Montales, 46 and presently assigned at Parañaque City Crime Laboratory surrendered at their station along with the Beretta 9 mm - the firearm used in the commission of the crime.


The police personnel then proceeded to Rosales MPS to pick up Nuezca and transfered him to Paniqui MPS for further investigation and proper disposition.


Meanwhile, PLtCol. Noriel Rombaoa, Paniqui Chief of Police in an interview with ABS-CBN’s Teleradyo narrated that before the shooting incident, somebody shot a “boga” near the house of the victims identified as Sonya Gregorio, 52, and Frank Anthony Gregorio, 25 which prompted the suspect to go at the house of the victims who are his neighbors.

Then and there, a heated argument errupted and that Nuezca’s daughter and Sonya had a confrontation which followed by the shooting incident.


“Parang nainsulto siguro so hanggang sa nagkasagutan ‘yung anak niya tsaka ‘yung matandang biktima, ‘yung babae, so doon na nagtrigger. Siguro nawindang ‘yung isip niya, doon niya pinaputukan ng baril itong mga biktima,” said Rombaoa in his interview.


Moreover, the Chief of Police recalled that the victims and the suspect had also a land dispute regarding right of way.


Double murder case is being prepared against the suspect.
