Tabuk City, Kalinga – A singer in Tabuk City listed by the Kalinga police as a street-level drug personality fell at the hands of the operatives at Hilltop, Purok 6, Bulanao Centro on June 20,2022 following a buy-bust operation.
Clynx Gerald Belgica, 27, was arrested for allegedly selling a medium- sized heat-sealed plastic sachet believed to be containing illegal contraband worth P2,040.
During the operation, the police also recovered a small sachet of suspected shabu placed inside his motorcycle key.
Earlier on the same day, a tricycle driver was caught selling suspected shabu to undercover operatives in a separate operation in the City.
The operation happened around 4:00 in the afternoon where suspect Wayne De Jesus, a 25-year-old tricycle driver, attempted to sell the item to an undercover police officer in Sitio Linglingay in Bulanao Norte.
A piece of small, heat-sealed sachet containing a substance suspected to be shabu worth P340 was taken from De Jesus.
Kalinga police also said they recovered another small sachet with the same substance from the suspect.
After an onsite inventory, the two were brought to the Kalinga Police Provincial Office.
A case for violation of Republic Act 9165 or Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 is being prepared against the two suspects.
