Slain Kalinga police, Pat. Harwin Baggay, brought home to birth place in Pinukpuk

Tabuk City, Kalinga – Patrolman Harwin Curtney Baggay, the iKalinga police who was killed while responding to an armed robbery in Quezon City, was brought to his birthplace in Pinukpuk on Saturday, July 5, 2025.

 

The remains of Baggay who died in the line of duty on June 30 arrived in Kalinga on July 2 at their residence in Purok 7, Bulanao, Tabuk City. Three days later, the fallen hero was brought to their family house in Taga, Pinukpuk by his family and relatives.

 

The 28-year-old police was given a ‘Foyer Honor’, a ceremonial gesture of paying respect and recognition to a police officer, by the Philippine National Police as he arrived at their family home.

 

Baggay earlier received a ‘Medalya ng Kadakilaan’ for his heroism and courage. It was awarded to him by the PNP Chief, PGen. Nicolas Torre III, when the top cop personally came to pay respect at the Sacred Heart of Jesus Chapel in Camp Karingal, Quezon City.
