Pinukpuk, Kalinga – Authorities seized around four grams of suspected shabu worth P27,200 in two separate search warrant operations in this town on Wednesday, March 10.

Operatives from the Kalinga Provincial Police Office implemented a simultaneous search in the house of Perfecto Dalingay in Barangay Wagud and the house of Beverly Dalingay, a High Value Individual Drug personality in the region from Barangay Katabbugan.

According to Kalinga Police Provincial Director PCol. Davy Vicente Limmong, both operations yielded positive.

In the house of Perfecto, 18 pieces of small heat sealed transparent plastic packs containing substances suspected to be shabu with an estimated weight of at least 2 grams and worth P13,600 were found inside a small box hidden under the bed of the suspect.

As for Beverly’s house, 7 pieces of small heat sealed transparent plastic packs containing alleged shabu weighing at least 2 grams estimated to worth P13,600 were found hidden inside a bond paper placed inside a durabox in a bedroom by the search team.

Limmong said that the suspects were not in their houses during the search but witnesses were present during the operation.

“Unfortunately, during the implementation, di mi ammo nu pinmanaw da iti rabii isunga idi agsapa, idi implementation diay search warrants, awan da. Anyway, regular filing latta diay kaso,” he said.

Limmong added that the suspects might have sensed the operation or they just simply headed off somewhere, “either of the two, nu na-sense da or adda lang talaga napanan da. Nu na-sense da kuma idi inikkat da kuma diay substance da idiay ngem mabalin natiyamba- an met a talaga nga adda napanan da.”

The confiscated items were brought to the Kalinga Police Provincial Office for proper documentation after on-site inventory with the witnesses. And cases for violation of Republic Act 9165 or Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 will be filed against the suspects.
