Tabuk City―More advanced health services for traumatic and emergency cases will be expected with the grant of one unit of ambulance vehicle from Department of Health-Center for Health Development-Cordillera to the City Government of Tabuk.

Presided by Vice Mayor Bernard Glenn Dao-as, members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod authorized the City Government of Tabuk to enter into the proposed Deed of Donation with the Department of Health-Center for Health Development-Cordillera during their regular session held on July 22.

Department of Health through its Health Facilities Enhancement Program (HFEP) aims to improve the delivery of health services by upgrading health facilities and provision of medical equipment to LGUs.

The donation is under the Universal Health Care Act (RA 11223), Health Care Provider Network (HCPN) or groups of doctors, labs, hospitals, surgery centers, and others are the front lines on delivery of health services

One of the identified strategies in improving further the HCPN is the provision of ambulance, which shall contribute to the functionality of the health system and the delivery of quality health care.

With the new ambulance, it is expected that the city’s emergency medical response system will be more responsive to the health needs of the population.

Department of Health-Center for Health Development-Cordillera Region represented by the Regional Director Ruby Constantino will then donate to Tabuk City Government one (1) unit of ambulance. The said ambulance vehicle includes the basic equipment amounting to PhP2,815,445.
