Tabuk City, Kalinga – In his recent statement during a meeting on updating the new structure pattern this January 15, 2021, Tabuk City Vice-Mayor advised workers of the City LGU, especially the job orders not to support the wrong doings of politicians.
Vice-Mayor Dao-as said the workers have to use their brains as they know what is right and what is wrong, and if he is doing wrong they ought not to support him.
“Haan ko met nga ibaga kanyayo nga gapu ta adda kayo iti legislative ket masapul nga siyak latta iti ayan ti kwa ngem nu makita yu nga madi iti araramidek ket apay ngay nga apan yu suportaran ti madi?” he said. He added that employees should support those who are doing the right things, “haan ko met nga ibaga nga siyak ket nadaludalus nak nga tao ngem adda met kadakayo, adda panunut yo .. ammu yo iti madi ken nasayaat.”
Statement on termination of Job Orders of the legislative department
Vice Mayor Dao-as said he is saddened over the circumstance knowing the terminated employees have to adjust and look for another job to feed their families, “Nasakit unay iti riknak nga mangkita kadagiay kapamilya tayo nga JO ... ket diyay iti permi nga kasakitan iti riknak tatta nga maawanan da piman iti panganan ta nagrigat piman, tatta agadjust da manen, agbiruk da manen iti kwa [trabaho].”
“Ket sapay kuma ah ta dagita nga JO nga naikkat ket makabiruk da kuma iti nasaysayaat pay nga pagtrabahoan da nga pangbiyag da iti pampamilya da,” he added.
Dao-as further mentioned in his message that the legislative was the one which suffered after the executive department was issued with Audit Observation Memorandum due to their lapses and anomalous transactions.
“Haan met nga (naikkan ti) AOM iti legislative. Ngem nu apay met tatta nga datayo met ditoy legislative iti kasla met nga permi nga nag(das-alan) na dayta nga AOM iti COA,” he said.
Reason behind termination of Job Orders
Job orders under the legislative department in the city lost their job this 2021 after the said branch was not allocated with general services in this year’s budget although such was provided in the previous year.
Teddy Gullay, Press Relations Officer said that in the 2021 budget of Tabuk City, the legislative department was not given general services where JOs’ wages are usually charged. He did not explain the reason behind the budget cut.
“Ijay budget iti 2021, haan nga naikkan iti legislative iti general services. Diay general services, isu iti paggapwan na iti charging iti sweldo iti job order. Uray sitayo, haan mi ammu nu anya iti nangyari kasi ijay met linteg, awan met iti mangiparparit nga haan nga entitled iti legislative iti general services,” he said.
Gullay added that City Vice Mayor Bernard Glenn Dao-as appealed to the province on the said matter as the budget, he said, is currently being reviewed.
