Tabuk youth display talent, creativity through various contested activities


Tabuk City, Kalinga – Youngsters in the city convened on December 18 to showcase their talents and creativity through various contested activities during the Sangguniang Kabataan Bulanao Centro December Event held at the Kalinga Astrodome.


The activity is composed of contested events such as recreational dance through Tiktok, literary writing, poster making, singing contest, lantern making, and storytelling.


Winners were awarded certificates and cash prizes.


In his message during the event, SK Bulanao Chairperson, Jayzee Job Tabanganay expressed gratitude to the participants who graced the activity and who willingly showcased their talents and skills.

Tabanganay assured the youth that the programs of SK Bulanao Centro are continuous and that they are working to provide and craft activities to benefit the youth and events that will cultivate their skills.

“Yamanek la unay ta immay kayo ket sapay kuma haan kayo maum-uma nga umay maki-participate iti programa iti Bulanao. Iti maibagak lang ket as long as I am the Sangguniang Kabataan of Bulanao, adu a programa, adu nga event iti mangyari ditoy ayan tayo,” he said.

Meanwhile, Governor Ferdinand Tubban lauded and appreciated the initiative of SK Bulanao, saying that the activity should be emulated by others saying that such activities should be supported, to produce young artists, composers, and many more in Kalinga.

“Ammu yu daytoy a panangisayangkat da iti kakastoy nga activities, isu kuma, haan laeng a physical iti kanayun. Kaadwan ket physical – basketball, volleyball wennu anya dita ngem nu daytoy ket naidumduma,” he said.


“Dagitoy kuma iti maysa met nga suportaran dagiti naduma-duma pay nga SK chairpersons iti ili tayo a Tabuk City, iti ili tayo a Kalinga tapnu intun sumar-saruno manen a taw-tawen adda tu metten ti mabigbigbig tu met nga artist tayo, mabigbigbig a nalaing nga ag-compose,” he added.


Tubban guaranteed the support of the Provincial Local Government Unit to the youth’s endeavor, saying that the Kalinga PLGU would always support the young ones being the future leaders of the society.
