Tanudan MDC approves P6.6 M supplemental budget

Tanudan, Kalinga―The Municipal Development Council has approved the Supplemental Budget 2021 which includes the funding for the continuation of isolation facility construction and procurement of CoViD-19 vaccines.

Mayor Jaedicke Dagadag, Council Chairman, with the council members, barangay officials, municipal government heads of offices convened for its first semester council regular meeting on March 24. Also present are representatives from the office of the Congressman, Philippine National Police, and Department of Education.

Approved with the highest budget is the PhP1.7 million construction of the Municipal Quarantine/Isolation Facility in Barangay Poblacion and PhP1 million for the procurement of CoViD-19 vaccine.

John Ryan Awingan, Executive Assistant to the Mayor, said that the supposed budget for the CoViD-19 vaccine was slashed to PhP1 million since the LGU is allowed to only provide 15% of the population as counterpart.

In addition, an amount of PhP700, 000 each is allocated for the construction of Multi-purpose covered court pavement in Mabaca Elementary School and concreting access road in Barangay Lay-yasan.

Mayor Dagadag assured that the approved supplemental budget that is sourced out from the general fund will be utilized for their flagship projects which shall greatly contribute to the development of the municipality amidst the challenges of the CoViD-19 pandemic.

Also included in the agenda are presentation of the 2022-2026 Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction Management plan, proposed 2022 Annual Investment Program, and other matters.
