Tanudan’s P50M Development Project Loan, approved

Tanudan, Kalinga―The Municipal Government of Tanudan may now be able to finance several development projects from the approved P50 million loan that aims to boost the socio-economic activities of the municipality.

Members of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan presided by Vice-Governor Dave Odiem approved the ordinance ratifying the approved terms and conditions of the loan of Tanudan with the Development Bank of the Philippines (DBP) during their joint session held on August 03 in Barangay Poblacion.

It can be recalled that Mayor Jaedicke Rhoss Dagadag opted to enter into a loan agreement with the DBP since the priority projects require a tremendous amount of budget for its implementation and that the local government does not have the financial capability to implement such.

External fund sourcing is seen as a solution to implement the priority projects, which is a local project congruent with the sustainable socio-economic development and the "Build, Build, Build (BBB)" program of the Duterte Administration.

The identified development projects are Municipal Building with PhP20,000,000, Construction of Waterworks System with PhP3,000,000, Multi-purpose Drying Pavement with PhP1,500,000, and Road Improvement with PhP7,500,000.

Additionally, the P7.5 million worth of road improvement will provide road access going to the municipal hall, Sangguniang Bayan Hall, old municipal hospital, new municipal hospital, and gymnasium.

Mayor Jaedicke Rhoss Dagadag assured the strict implementation and appropriate utilization of funds for the projects, saying that he will ensure to closely monitor for its prompt completion.

“Ti loan ket mayat basta kusto ti maipanan na a project a mausar ti ili a saksakupem ken masapul a haan a substandard, dayta ti isigurado tayo a masapul masurot amin ti program of works na tapno ti kasta ket makita dagiti end users ti pagsayaatan na,” he expressed.
